  3. If you have a version of Place It before 1.12 then to install Place It do the
  4. following
  5.  
  6.         Copy the !Config and Background files, if present, to a safe place
  7.         Delete the old !PlaceIt directory
  8.         Copy the new !PlaceIt directory to where you had the old one
  9.         Copy the !Config and Background file back into the !PlaceIt directory
  10.         (or into !PlaceIt.Config if you prefer which where they will be moved
  11.         to when the new Place It is run)

  13. If you have a version 1.12 or later then simply copy the new !PlaceIt directory
  14. over the old one.

  16. In both the above cases it is a good idea to make sure that the new version
  17. of Place It you have has no configuration files in it. If it has remove these
  18. before starting the installation process. Refer to the Files file to see what
  19. are configuration files.

  21. If you have no previous version of Place It simply copy the !PlaceIt directory
  22. into where you want to store it.

  24. In all cases I recomend you keep a backup copy of the entire release without
  25. any configuration files to give to other users and make a work copy of Place
  26. It to use by refering to the Files file to see what files are required (for
  27. example the source and documentation are not needed in a work copy).
